    Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in places Marojejya.

  • Description

    Tree. Tree 10 m x 21.7 cm diam. Outer bark mottled grayish-white to brown, lenticellate, rough, shed in small thin, irregular plates. Inner bark orange-red. Leaves 3-5-jugate. Stipules orbicular, slightly coriaceous. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
