Habitat
Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in places Marojejya.

Description
Sapling. Sapling 7 m. Stipules 5-11 x 6-11 mm, reniform and constricted at base. Leaves 6-7-jugate. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
