Habitat
Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in places Marojejya.

Juvenile tree. Juvenile tree 3.5 m tall. Leaves 7-9-jugate. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
