Habitat
Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in places Marojejya.

Description
Juvenile tree. Juvenile tree 8 m. Leaves 4-5-jugate. Stipules 5-7 x 7-9 mm, reniform and slightly constricted at base. Lateral leaflet base can be nearly truncate on younger leaves. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
