    Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in places Marojejya.

  • Description

    Juvenile tree. Juvenile tree 6 m x 6 cm diam. Outer bark grayish white, finely fissured, sparsely lenticellate. Inner bark beige-orange. Leaves 5-6-jugate. Stipules 4-8 x 5 mm, slightly reniform to semi-orbicular, slightly constricted at base. Phenology of specimen: sterile.
