United States of America. New Jersey. Somerset Co. Ca. 1 mile southeast of center of Rocky Hill, hiking trail along the old Delaware-Raritan canal paralleling the Millstone River, 0.5-1 mile south of Highway 518 bridge. On gentle slope east of the canal.

Habitat
Floodplain forest and grassy and brushy areas. Native species such as Fraxinus pensylvanica, Rhus radicans, Mikania scandens, Parthenocissus inserta, along with many introduced species such as Eleagnus umbellata, Celastrus orbiculatus, Lonicera maackii.

Shrub 1.5 m tall. Fruit green. With Phragmites australis in partial shade. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
