Habitat
In moist fertile humus covered soil of dense forests.

Description
Tree, 30 feet high with a foot thick stem. Leaves coriaceous, ascending of horizontal, conduplicate on the upper dark green surface, recurved especially towards the apex, much paler beneath; fruits green, smooth, 1/2 inch in diameter, upon 1 - 2 inches long green lenticelled stalks arising from the leaf axils or from the axils of fallen leaves. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
