Habitat
It is commonly found on the Sierra de Abusanqui. Tropical environment with an annual average of 27degC temp (at 150 m of altitude) and 3500 mm of rain with high humidity and a dry season from Dec 15 to Mar 15 (with rain at least once a week). The soil is normally sandy dark brown, quite humid and rich in humus.

Description
It is a tree 359-60) cm. dbh & 15(-25) m tall. with small greenish flowers with 4K, or 4 C, 8A, yellow nectar disk. The sap is dense, has a minty scent, quite sticky, and it hardens like pine sap (see voucher ML260 for flower).
