Habitat
mostly evergreen forest with understorey palms, on alluvial bottomland among limestone hills. canopy 20-30 m, with Guarea spp, Orbignya, Protium, Sapotaceae, Euphorbiaceae; emergents (Virola, Dialium, Spondias, Terminalia) to 40 m. standing rotten log.
