    Specimen P. G. Davison No. 8428 (ID 36368) Octospora texensis Benkert leg. P. G. Davison 2013-12-26 det. J. Eckstein 2014-10-27 Apothecia 0.5-1.2 mm in diameter, hymenium orange, margin slightly paler, somewhat tomentose because of palee hyphae (fig. PGD_01); margin with pale orange, parallel hyphae (textura porrecta, fig. PGD_02) Paraphyses with orange content, cylindrical, sometimes forked subapically (fig. PGD_03), only slightly widened above to 4-6 µm, apical cell 17-45 µm long .
