Habitat
Nearly flat plain. tall moist forest, somewhat disturbed. One-ha forest inventory plot established by shiram entsa high school students in program supported by National Geographic Society "Genographic Legacy Fund". on clay soil.

Description
Tree 15m tall, with trunk 17.9 cm DBh. Tree #24.11 in 1-hectare plot. cut bark strongly aromatic with terpene odor. Flowering coeval with newly flushed leaves. Leaves all trifoliolate. corolla pale yellow. shuar name: 'Chipia'.
