United States of America. Wisconsin. Richland Co. 1/2 mile west of Lone Rock. Between Wisconsin River valley slough and extensive sand barrens about 5 m. higher elev.

Habitat
Small marshy area ca. 10 m. wide. See also Locality. With many hummocks of Sphagnum (!), Cyperaceae, Onoclea sensibilis, Osmunda regalis, Spiraea alba. Thin young stand (ca. 50% canopy) of 5-8 m. tall Acer saccharinum, Betula nigra.
