  • Description

    Large tree 1.2 m. in diameter, with wide-spreading and rounded crown. Three collections made from the same tree (Nee 52902a, flowering; 52902, fruit; 5209c, leaves). These two old Ulmus americana (Nee 52902 and 52903) have survived for many decades without contracting Dutch Elm Disease, which is present in the area, and where young trees have been dying in recent years as close as 2 blocks away. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
