(Cl. tildenii Brand in Mss.) “Ad 3 cm. long, fasciculata, sursum irregulariter bipinnata; filis rigidiusculis, primarius ad 120 mic. crassis, terminalibus ad 45 (-40-) mic. attenuatis; ramis singulis (primarius saepe dichotomis) vel binis (ut plurimum oppositis) nee non ternis (raro quatemas) flagelliformibus vel verticillatis, principalibus sub angulo subacuto egredientibus, ceter- is plus-minus patentibus; ramis radiciformibus in inferiore thalli parte haud raris, ad ortum trunco arete adpressis; cellulis cylindricis, saepius sursum paulo incrassatis, ad septa vix constrictis, filorum principalium sublongis, ramulorum brevioribus, termin- alibus obtusis, omnibus membrana subcrassa praeditis.” Laie beach, Koolauloa, Oahu, Hawaiian Islands.
