Habitat
A lakelike slough in Lower Wisconsin River Valley. River bottom hardwood forest (Acer saccharinum dominant, with Fraxinus pensylvanica), ± open edge along slough, with Laportea canadensis (sparse), Onoclea sensibilis, Apios americana, Lysimachia ciliata, Galium obtusum, Amorpha fruticosa, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Platanthera flava.

Description
Locally common in slow-flowing, spring-fed stream above (E) of pond; in water, rooted in a slight bit of silt over sand. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
