18 degrees 2.792’, W 76 degrees 43.934’. Elev. 650-683
m. Disturbed sclerophyllous forest. Associated
melastomes: Miconia laevigata, M. impetiolaris, Clidemia
erythropogon, Ossaea microphylla. Other associates:
Coccoloba diversifolia, Piper spp., Eugenia, Lasiacus
divaricatus, Cecropia peltata, Lantana, Lyonia jamaicensis,
Capparis flexuosa, Passiflora, Asplenium, Pleopeltis,
Thunbergia grandifiora, Ipomoea, Aliophyllus cominia,
Mangifera indica, and several legumes. Uncommon low
shrub to 1 m tall. Sterile.
