The specimens answer exactly Harvey’s description in the Nereis, even to lacking in »11 cases the lower pQTtioa of the frond. The speci- mens secured are lften two to tljree meters in length and very slendei% looking at first sights very unlike- C. osmundacea. Careful comparison^ however, leads to tUp belief that they are only deep water forms of the common litoral and i%>per sublitoral species! W. A. S. 0234lp5g
