red when mature. Few individuals at edge of forest by
roadside; sun. Weedy roadside in dense, xeric secondary
forest on rocky, granite-derived, tan soil. National
Wildlife Refuge, east tract, NE of Bahia de la Chiva on
road to Laguna Plata/Puerto Plata. 18°06'53.4"N,
