    Steeply (ca. 60 degrees) slanting sandstone outcrop with islands of shrub (Gaylussacia baccata, Vaccinium pallidum, V. corymbosum, and small Pinus rigida, Oxydendrum arboreum, and Betula lenta)-lichen (Cladonia spp.)-moss (Polytrichastrum pallidisetum, P. ohioense, Leucobryum albidum, and Dicranum spurium) mats interspersed with extensive areas of Umbilicaria muehlenbergii and Lasallia papulosa and bare rock. On open outcrop.
