Habitat
Moist cloud forest with continuous tradewinds. Highly disturbed forest, dense and difficult to walk. Dominated by Magnolia pallescens and Shefflera tremula. Large areas covered with Gleichenia and Arthrostylidium/Chusquea?.

Description
Tree 5 m tall; calyx grayish green; petals pink, reflexed; stamens yellow, long-exserted; style and stigma pink. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
