Cuba. Cienfuegos. Punta Iguana, ca. 0.6 km along dirt access road departing to the S of Highway to Rancho La Luna ca. 1.4 km before (NE of) bridge over Cuanao, then by foot to the SE to mangrove swamp near mouth of Cuanao River.

Habitat
Limestone karst slope with semideciduous forest at border of mangrove swamp with limestone gravel at base of slope and some open areas.

Description
Shrubby tree, stems spiny, inflorescence, ovary, calyx, and fruits green, style and filaments dull yellow, banner yellowish-green.
