    "Iter arcitcus Roald Amundsen (Gjöa-Expedition), 1903-1906." [The Gjøa was the first vessel to successfully transit the Northwest Passage in one expedition. The six crewmembers were led by renowned Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. Lindstrøm was the ship's cook, who had the official task of collecting natural history specimens on behalf of the University of Christiania [now Oslo]. Amundsen was also the first to reach the South Pole, in a separate expedition in 1911.]
