Habitat
steeply sloping sandstone stratum presenting a mosaic of sandstone glades separated by thickets. Gaylussacia baccata, Vaccinium, Kalmia latifolia, and Rhododendron catawbiense along edge of outcrop and extending into thicket of Vaccinium corymbosum, K. latifolia and R. catawbiense.
