Mata oh sedimentary rocks, similar to
mata taboleiro. An high ground form of
coastal mata seca.
Tree to 10m, DBH 15—20cm, bark flaking in
woody chunks, grey, brown and orangish,
slash of bark orangish, wood slash cream;
clear exudate. Some spine-tipped
protuberances on trunk. Old fruit
collected from ground. Seedlings abundant.
Leaflets shiny, deep green.
