slanting (steeply), open sandstone outcrop with some areas of seepage and islands of bryophytes and lichens. Lasallia papulosa, Umbilicaria muehlenbergii, Cladina, Pinus rigida, Kalmia latifolia, and Rhododendron maximum. at edge of outcrop.
