Habitat
On sandy soil, with crystalline quartz, liable to flooding from river among disturbed vegetation of shrubs and small trees.

Description
Spindly shrub to 2.5 m. Stems with few ascending branches, brown, smooth below, with spreading hairs and with glaucous grey bloom in upper 3/4 including the inflorescence. Leaves rigid and slightly curled, mid-green, glossy above, grey beneath. Calyx dark purple. Corolla violet-blue with darker pattern of lines on upper lip at base. Filament hairs pale violet-blue. Anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
