sandstone knob that slop[es downward toward the north with much bare sandstone interpersed with shrub-lichen-moss beds. dominant plants - Pinus rigida (often stunted), Vaccinium pallidum, Gaylussacia baccata, Oxydendrum arboreum, and Pteridium aquilinum. in lichen-moss mat on slanting sandstone outcrop.
