Habitat
In meadow-like area on sagebrush slopes. With scattered Juniperus. Locally abundant. Gray-black soil, pH ca. 6.5.

Description
Corollas blue-violet, the tube base and lobes darker; abaxial side of throat paler within; staminode white; anthers dark violet on adaxial side, black with age; nectar sweetly fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
