780-820 on Cuiabá-Santarém highway (BR 163); ca 20 km N
of border of Mato Grosso; ca 9°22'S, 54°54'W, el ca 430-480
m; broad, wet, sandy plain with sandstone exposures; low ridges
and valleys to the N and S.
