Venezuela: Bolivar. Parq. Nac. Canaima,
Auyantepui. Elev. 1500 m. Granite outcrops
W of Angel Falls. Ca. 6°N, 62°30'W. Dom-
inated by Bonnetia sessilis and Ericaceae.
Shrublet to 2 dm tall. Leaves concave, the
lower surface densely ferrugineous woolly.
Pedicels dark maroon. Calyx red. Corolla
red distally, somewhat rose proximally
where covered by calyx lobes. Fruit red.
