On dry sagebrush flats. Locally abundant. Gray-white soil, pH ca. 6.7.

Description
Corollas blue to blue-violet, tube red-violet towards base, throat paler on abaxial side; anthers blue-black; nectar with a sweet fragrance; mostly in late flower here. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
