Habitat
Primary forest in low-lying area ("baixio") shallowly dissected by many small streams. Soils sandy in many places, but drainage poor in many spots.

Description
epiphyte. Succulent epiphytic herb 2.5 m in tree by trail, inflorescence bracts red, corolla cream with black spots adaxially on lobes and throat. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
