30% slope, southwestern exposure. Open talus slope in Tsuga heterophylla forest. With grasses and Eriophyllum lanatum var. lanatum. Locally common. Loose or stabilized talus of Belt Series parent material.

Lavender flowers with yellow buds; height 3-5 decimeters. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
