Description
Pileus (3.5-)4-6 cm broad, dry, plane, appressed and radially fibrillose, nearly squamulose, pale ochraceous, some light blue stains when picked and appearing when bruised. Flesh white, quickly blue, more intense near stipe less so near margin. Tubes adnexed, very pale yellow, cyanescent, with small pores, also cyanescent. Stipe 3.5-7(-8) cm long, up to 2-2.5 cm broad, equal to slightly broader below, dry, with slight annular zone, white to pale ochraceous, staining blue, with interior pithy, becoming chambered, light blue stains above in young basidiome, deeply blue when exposed when mature.
