Slope at edge of lawn with Prunus serotina.

Description
Tree, 4.5 m tall, the trunk 15 cm diam; older bark rough, the younger bark grey, somewhat lustrous with promiment horizontal lenticular fields; flowers pink. Not clear whether planted or spontaneous, but location at edge of well-established lawn, suggests it was planted. The species is abundantly naturalized in the area, especially around the Marble Bench where there are hundreds of young trees. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
