Location
Canada. Alberta. Jasper National Park: Just inside Alberta border from British Columbia. On the east side of the ridge along Hwy 16 bordering east side of the lake at the border.

Habitat
On slatey outcrops with some calcareous influence, and northeast aspect. Also in adjacent rich fen with scattered Picea mariana and Betula-Salix shrubs, Tomenthypnum nitens-Sphagnum warnstorfii-Campylium stellatum-Drepanocladus revolvens-Lophozia rutheana dominants in the ground layer.
