Forming hummock in subarctic woodland on permafrost in
vegetation dominated by Picea mariana, Betula, Ledum
groenlandicum, L. palustre, Sphagnum fuscum and Cladonia
mitis. Associated with Rubus chamaemorus s Vaccinium
vidis-idaea, and Chamaedccphnae calyculata.
