    Vine to 20m growing in tall tree. Stems getting woody, to 3 cm in diameter; 'peppery' odor when large stems are cut; clear liquid drips from cut woody stems; leaves green.

diameter; ’peppery’ odor when large stems are cut; clear liquid drips
from cut woody stems; leaves green. N.V. Konok [Pohnpeian]
leaves+stems Analgesic. For joint pain. Take several pieces of
vine lm in lenght, only green part of vine is used
not the woody stems. Chop up leaves and green
steins and put in a pot of boiling water. Sit over pot
with cloth over head and breathe in stem from
plant. Use lx daily, 4 days for joint pain.

Conjunctivitis. Pink eye locally called "Pwinon"*
Take woody stem, cut it open at one end and put 2
drops in affected eye. 4x daily for 4 days until red
goes away along with green pus. People do not use
this method much today, as they can go to the
hospital and get antibiotics.
Chills. For coldness in body (chills). Take several
pieces of vine lm in lenght, only green part of vine
is used not the woody stems. Chop up leaves and
green stems and put in a pot of boiling water. Sit
over pot with cloth over head and breathe in stem
from plant. Use lx daily, 4 days for chills. It will
warm up a person with chills.
