Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find any record of a Brady Peak in Wisconsin. However, found Brady's Bluff Prairie State Natural Area approximately 1 mile west of Trempealeau, assumed this was what the locality description was referring to. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Brady's Bluff Prairie State Natural Area approximately 1 mile west of Trempealeau in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. Used Google Maps – Earth and Topographic Views to locate Brady's Bluff Prairie State Natural Area. Used the Google Maps – What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the area. Unable to discern the precise spatial boundaries of the area; used the Google Maps – measure Distance Tool to approximate the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the nearest named place, Perrot Ridge, then halving this distance. Input coordinates, coordinate source (locality description), datum (WGS84), coordinate precision (.00001 degrees), extent of named place (429.15 m), and measurement error (10 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place; Undefined Area).
