Cultivated beds planted with Amelanchier × grandiflora and mix of native and exotic herbaceous species, ground mulched with bark chips.

Description
Herb; petals white, tinged with blue, each petal darker medially and toward the base, the veins blue, the claws yellow, giving the flower a yellow center. These plants are sometimes called Viola priceana Pollard or Confederate violet. They grow sympatrically with Viola sororia (with all purple flowers), but the two forms appear to segregate themselves into distinct colonies. Planted and apparently spreading locally. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
