    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Rio Manacapuru in Mun. Manacapuru, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Manacapuru, a tributary of Rio Solimões. Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line between the beginning of Rio Manacapuru (confluence of Rio Manacapuru and Rio Solimões) and the approximate source of the river (approximated through the dense forest cover) then halved this distance to approximate the geographic center of the river. Measured to approximately this halved distance from the mouth of Rio Manacapuru toward the center; used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint of the river, on the adjacent shore (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Manacapuru, 116957.0 m), and measurement error (.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
