Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway, at the Alligator Back/Bluff Mountain Overlook and trailhead (Doughton Park Recreational Area). Plants found on the Mountains to Sea Trail directly left/west of the parking area that runs parallel to the BRP. Growing rich woods, ca. 0.42 mi west of the trailhead.
