Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find precise location of "Estação Ecológica Jutaí-Solimões;" georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Rio Boia, a tributary of Rio Jutaí. Referred to "Traveling Luck" website (http://travelingluck.com/South%20America/Brazil/Amazonas/_3662938_Rio%20Pati.html) and "GetAMap.net" website (http://www.getamap.net/maps/brazil/amazonas/_rio_boia/) for location of Rio Boia (synonymous with Rio Pati). Using Google Maps, located Rio Boia in Amazonas, BR. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the mouth of Rio Boia (where it branches off of Rio Jutaí) to the approximate end of Rio Boia; halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of Rio Boia. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates, on the adjacent shore. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Boia, 11371.8 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
