Algae made on the North-West Coast of North America, chiefly
at Vancouver’s Island, by David Lyall, Esq. M. D., R. N., in the
years 1859-61, in Journ. ofProc. Linn. Soc. 6:157-177. 1862.
Frond 1-2 meters in length, much branched; lower pinnules leaf-bear-
bearing, upper pinnules vesiculiferous, each ramulus having a vesicle
below its apex; vesicles 2-5 mm. in length.
Growing on rocks below low tide.
