"952, Chinese Hawthorn, China, planted 1930". Small tree 6 m. tall, 30 cm. in diameter; bark brown, platy. Young sprouts with much more spinose-margined leaves than the leaves on flowering twigs. Flowers white, with musty fragrance. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
