Thisspecies has been distributed under Nos. 144 & 1145 of the
present work, but the material was only in part in fruit. The present
distribution is intended to show both sexual and asexual plants, and
something of the variation in habit. The plant distributed under No.
842 as Polysiphonia bipinnata var. gemmifera was wrongly deter-
mined.
