The plants referred here provisionally were characteristic of the up-
per portion of thé litoral zone, and while they do not agree with the
description of A. dolichorhachis in every detail, they seem to come
nearer to that than to any other species.' The sporophylls, when fertile,
are much thickened towards the base.
