Collins & Hervey.Algae of Bermuda.Contri- butions Bermuda Biological Station for Be- searoh no. 69, page 124 August 1917 5. P. opaca (Ag.) Zanardini, 1842, p. 165; P. B.-A., No. 1891; Hutchinsia opaca Agardh, 1824, p. 148. Kemp, as P. fibrillosa; Rein, as P. nigrescens, in part; On rocks, Heron Bay, Jan., March, Ely?s Harbor, April, Hervey; in grotto, Tucker?s Town, April, Fairyland, Dec., Collins. We have included under this name all the many- tubed Polysiphonias that we have found in Bermuda. Some speci- mens agree well with the European form, others, specially those from Fairyland, considerably resemble P. simvlans Harvey, but we have not been able to draw any line between these and the more typical forms. Tetraspores were found in April. Branches arise in the axils of the leaves. THE F. S. COLLINS HERBARIUM PRE3C rvT ' 0 TO The riiH York botanical garden by N. l. Britton, 1922 'I ? 7- (A* THE F. S.
