Frond terete, filiform, pinnately decompound, 2-4 dm. -in length, dark
brown in color; branching irregular; branches alternate, distichous or
somewhat spirally inserted; tetragonidia in two rows, occupying the
terminal fusiform ramuli.
Attached to rocks at low tide.
Minnesota reef, San Juan island, Washington.

The ultimate branchlets are inserted in two rows giving a flat appearance.
They form somewhat corymbose fascicles.
