Location
Venezuela. Amazonas. Río Negro Mun. CAMP VII: Cerro de la Neblina, 5.1 m. NE Pico Phelps (=Neblina) (21.5 km. E Neblina Base Camp), streambanks of Caño Gardner downstream (North) from streamside camp.

Habitat
Acidic sandstone outcrops on either side of river; curve in river with large area of clay dominated by Lycopodium (L. clavatum, L. reflexum, L. cernuum and L. pensum. Dense growths of the 1.5 m. tall terrestrial bromeliad Brocchinia tatei with scattered trees and shrubs.

Terrestrial; upright portion of plant 1 m. tall; entirely sporophylls. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
